1. What is MSX?

MSX, the North American MotorSports Expo, is a conference and expo targeted toward SCCA’s 60,000 membership base, national car clubs and associations, as well as driving enthusiasts from around the country.  MSX provides educational programs and seminars for current and potential participants in all amateur racing competition and an exhibit hall devoted to racing parts, equipment, safety and technology.

2. Who is the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA)?

Founded in 1944, Sports Car Club of America, Inc. is a 60,000-member motorsports organization that incorporates all facets of autocross, rally and road racing at both amateur and professional levels. It annually sanctions more than 2,000 events through its 115 regions and professional subsidiary. Landmark events and series for the Club include the SafeRacer SCCA National Racing Series, which includes the U.S. Majors Tour and BFGoodrich Tires SCCA Super Tour; the Club Racing National Championship Runoffs® at Road America; and The Tire Rack® SCCA Solo National Championships and ProSolo Championship at Lincoln, Neb. and the annual SCCA National Convention and Hall of Fame Induction. 

3. Will there be an MSX Conference?

Yes. MSX provides essential training and education for SCCA members and driving enthusiasts.  Sessions and networking events will be targeted to amateur drivers, SCCA members, crew and administrators. The conference will engender safer, smarter and faster racing taught by experts in the industry.

8. Why is this being held in Charlotte, NC?

Charlotte’s motorsport heritage is undeniable. Charlotte provides easy access to the largest concentration of SCCA members and motorsport enthusiasts in the country. Charlotte’s longstanding history and culture within the industry makes it the perfect location for the best amateur motorsports organization in America.
 

9. Does this event replace the SCCA National Convention?

No. MSX will be held in conjunction with the SCCA National Convention. MSX is a separate event that expands the reach of the National Convention to include SCCA drivers. This event will provide content toward building, maintaining and driving competition cars in SCCA events.
